Hey! Thanks for stopping my page. I know how important it is to have a real connection and sense of understanding with the person you’re learning from, so I’ll do my best to give you a complete picture..
I was never on the track team in school. I wasn’t crazy athletic and or out-going really. I was the kid who liked to sit inside and read during break. I felt shy and awkward and like I never really fit in which is a long way to say I struggled with confidence and self-esteem.
And I was overweight.
It took me a while to figure out how to even get started doing healthier habits. I remember going to the gym in college and seeing all these machines and not having a clue how to use any of them. Except for the treadmill and the eliptical, those were easy. And the stationary bike. And when that didn’t really do anything for me, I got myself a personal trainer. Three more years of weight training and ‘dieting’ and fighting myself every morning to even get myself to the gym in the first place.
So I took a break. Well, a couple actually. Always on and off of my plan, feeling like a loser everytime I stopped. Enter more self-esteem issues and me looking for validation in all the wrong places. More partying, more boys, less of me actually feeling good about myself or my choices.
Then one day I found a Groupon for Pole Fitness classes and I thought, dancers always look so confident and strong and that’s what I want for myself. From 2017 to 2022, I would spend hours inside the studio, learning choreography yes, but also conditioning, working on my flexibility, and connecting with a community of women who all wanted their own version of that same confidence. And what I found over those years is that, because I enjoyed what I was doing so much, it made it that much easier to keep doing it over and over again. I could easily spend 3 hours in classes after a full day of work and feel pumped afterwards! Not because someone told me I had to but because I genuinely wanted to. And as I continued to get stronger physically and improve my co-ordination and body awareness, my confidence grew stronger and stronger too.



So much that in 2018, I decided I wanted to help other women feel this good, doing whatever it is that lights them up. I enrolled in a nutrition course, got some business training and started putting myself out there. Was it scary, yes? But I kept at it because I know how incredible it is to uncover that sense of freedom and authenticity to show up and express who you are to the world without fear of rejection. To just be happy and actually see how contagious it is for the people around you.
Getting to a place where you understand what your body, mind and soul require from you means that you can work with this vessel that exists on this plane to live fully. Because as Eckhart Tolle says, we are not our thoughts. We are not our experiences or our perceptions or ideas. We are the one who notices these things and we do not have to allow the outer experiences of the world to limit our potential and our ability to create something new.
